When I loaded into windows, I still got the windows boot screen showing Unetbootin. Now when I rebooted my computer, I booted into the grub menu and was given Ubuntu and windows as options, signally a successful dual boot install. Then I opened command line, to install and update grub, as my previous attempt didn’t seem to give me grub boot loader, and I could load into my fresh install. Made the whole partition file type ext4, mount point / upon reboot I booted into unetbootin and selected to try Ubuntu (safe graphics)įrom the live session, I installed Ubuntu from the in session installer to the empty partition. I shrunk my windows partition first and left it blank.
